Why Morocco?
New growth area - prices set to dramatically increase
Only a short trip away from Spain and in the same time zone as the UK, Morocco is the perfect place to escape to the sun.
In this
fascinating country, ancient and modern happily
co-exist, and tradition mingles with cosmopolitan
attitudes. Its natural physical beauty ranges from
lovely unspoilt coastlines through scenic mountain
landscapes to the dramatic wilderness of the Sahara.
Its Mediterranean climate and cultural richness make
it a paradise waiting to be discovered.
Morocco is a country surging ahead into the
21st century whilst still retaining a wealth of
tradition and history.
Its progressive ruler is actively encouraging foreign investment and is intent on upping the country’s international profile. It is poised at the beginning of a property and infrastructure development programme that should put it firmly on the map for investors and visitors alike. Morocco’s north-eastern Mediterranean coast is an ideal choice for both those who value unspoilt natural beauty and for investors wishing to purchase in a new, up-and-coming area.
Direct flights from major European cities to nearby Oujda, Nador and Melilla airports are planned. In the meantime, the northeastern coast can best be reached by taking a plane or ferry from Malaga to the Spanish enclave of Melilla.
From Melilla airport and the Moroccan
border it is a 45-minute drive to Saïdia.
Alternatively, Oujda, the largest town in eastern Morocco, is about 50km
south of Saïdia, and Royal Air Maroc operates direct flights between
Oujda and Paris, Marseille, Brussels, Amsterdam and other Moroccan
cities several times a week.
There are also flights from the UK to Oujda via Casablanca. Taxis are available from Oujda to Saïdia and take approximately 40-45 minutes. The weather in the coastal regions of Morocco is sunny virtually all year round – very similar to the Costa del Sol. The average temperature in summer is 29ºC. The months between October and April are slightly cooler but very sunny, perfect for enjoying leisure and sporting activities.
